Our Mission

  •   Build a better community through the provision of educational scholarships to deserving foster youth, LACAAEA members and their qualified family members.
  • Assist our members in their preparation for career advancement.
  • Improve the employment status of our members.
  • Encourage the recruitment, appointment and promotion of our members in Los Angeles County service.
  • Disseminate information on employment and promotional opportunities to our members.
  • Serve as the coordinating body for the development of activities, events and programs that celebrate the multifaceted culture and heritage of our collective community.

Our Vision

  • To unify African American employees of the County of Los Angeles towards the preservation and celebration of their collective heritage.
  • To inform African American employees of the County of Los Angeles of the need for educational and cultural activities, events and programs that embody their collective heritage.
  • To empower our members by providing an environment that educates, informs and inspires.
